The Home Care Packages program provides older people who want to stay at home with access to a range of ongoing personal services, support services and clinical care that help them with their day-to-day activities. All Home Care Packages are delivered on a Consumer Directed Care (CDC) basis, which means that the consumer has choice over what package of services they receive within their allocated funds.

The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) is an entry level home help program for older people who need some help with daily tasks to live independently at home.

IWAA is funded to provide CHSP services in:

Salam Cottage - Respite Center
Salam Cottage - Respite Center

Located in Brisbane South, the Salam Cottage is home away from home for carers to place their loved ones.

The Salam Respite Cottage provides day and/or overnight respite to carers of older people, people with dementia or young people with a disability.“Cottage Respite” is the term for the type of day and night respite which has the aim to relieve the carer. The carer can leave the care to the friendly staff of the Respite Cottage.
