Front Desk Administrator – Full Time (QLD)
IWA Australia | Monday–Friday | 8:30am–4:30pm
Love being organised, helping people and being right in the middle of everything? This could be the role for you!
At IWA Australia, our Front Desk Administration team is the heart of our organisation. They’re the friendly faces welcoming visitors, the voices answering our phones and the people helping keep our busy workplace running smoothly.
We’re looking for a reliable, positive and motivated administrator who genuinely enjoys administration, thrives on variety and takes pride in getting things done.
And when we say variety, we mean it!
What will you be doing?
No two days are quite the same! One minute you’re answering phones or welcoming visitors, the next you’re setting up a meeting room, troubleshooting a printer or helping a colleague with an urgent request.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing reception, phone calls, visitors and enquiries.
- Providing administrative support, including documents, spreadsheets, printing and correspondence.
- Setting up meeting rooms, including equipment and catering.
- Ordering and stocktaking stationery, uniforms, PPE and office supplies.
- Keeping shared spaces organised and stocked, including replenishing everyday supplies.
- Assisting with fleet bookings, facilities, basic IT troubleshooting and events.
Make no mistake — this is a hands-on administration role. You’ll need to be just as comfortable working on a spreadsheet as you are restocking supplies, and happy to switch between tasks as priorities change.
Is this you?
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work.
- Has excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Stays calm, friendly and professional under pressure.
- Is adaptable, proactive and happy to pitch in wherever needed.
- Has great communication skills and enjoys working with people.
- Is confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Has a positive attitude, a sense of humour and enjoys being part of a team.
Previous administration or reception experience is highly regarded. A current open driver’s licence is required.
Why work at IWA?
Our people make IWA special.
We’re a multicultural community organisation with a wonderfully diverse team representing many cultures, languages and life experiences. It’s a warm, welcoming and inclusive workplace where you’ll learn from your colleagues, build genuine relationships and contribute to work that makes a difference.
We won’t pretend this is a quiet reception job! It’s busy, priorities can change quickly and your organisational skills will certainly be tested. But if you enjoy variety, like being the person others rely on and get satisfaction from helping a team succeed, you’ll feel right at home.
